Dana Larsen, MD

Instructor

My academic focus has two aims: (1) to improve the way in which we teach medical trainees, and (2) to provide optimal patient-centered care. As a medical educator, I passionately engage with all levels of learners to promote a greater understanding of kidney physiology and pathophysiology. As a researcher in medical education, I am exploring the ways in which Free Open Access Medical education (FOAMed), such as blogs, Twitter, YouTube, podcasts and other free resources are being used by trainees and impact self directed learning. In the clinical setting, I enjoy teaching patients about their kidney health across a wide variety of disorders and together, building a treatment plan that is best for them.
