Michi Yukawa Shares Expertise on Dementia at 'Help and Hope' Webinar
Michi Yukawa, MD, MPH participated as a panelist in the "Help and Hope: Walking the Dementia Journey Together" Zoom webinar on May 19, 2024. The event, sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association, Kimochi Inc, J Sei, and Yu-Ai Kai, focused on the challenges faced by Asian American dementia patients. During the webinar, which was attended by 98 participants, Dr. Yukawa discussed the diagnosis and management of dementia.
Brie Williams Quoted in New York Times Article
Brie Williams, MD, MS was quoted in a New York Times article about her program Amend at UCSF that she directs with Cyrus Ahalt, MPP. Amend at UCSF brings a public health approach to improving the toxic cultures in U.S. prisons and jails by drawing on the innovative health-oriented work of the Norwegian Correctional Service and integrating behavioral change and motivational interviewing. “When people come with us on one of our immersion programs in Norway, they see that there is a different way. Treating people with respect and dignity and humanity is key to making things safer and the lives of people who are incarcerated more meaningful.”
