New Division Manager of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy, and Sleep Medicine

After a thorough search over the past few months, we are pleased to announce that Victor Jimenez has accepted the position of division manager (DM) for the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy, and Sleep Medicine at UCSF Health.

Victor brings more than 18 years of relevant experience and holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from California State University, East Bay. Before joining UCSF in 2017, he spent 11 years at Kaiser Permanente Southern California, where he last served as a department administrator overseeing multiple clinical teams. After relocating to the Bay Area, he began his UCSF career as a department manager in the School of Dentistry, gaining a deep understanding of our institution and culture. In late 2022, he joined the Department of Medicine as the division manager for the Division of Gastroenterology.

Originally from Los Angeles, Victor frequently travels back to visit his family and maintain close ties with his hometown. Here in the Bay Area, he enjoys taking long walks in Golden Gate Park and pursuing photography in his spare time.

Victor will officially assume his role as our division manager on January 21. We look forward to the contributions he will make and the positive impact his leadership will have on our division.
