Lindsey Criswell and Alicia Fernandez were inducted to NAM
Lindsey Criswell (left) and Alicia Fernandez were elected to the National Academy of Medicine. Lindsey, professor emeritus and current director of NIAMS, is recognized for her work on genetic and epigenetic factors in autoimmune rheumatic disorders. Alicia, professor of medicine and also recipient of the 2024 UCSF Chancellor Award for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership, is honored for her research on language and literacy barriers in patient care and outcomes.
