Patients with vasculitis often present with a perplexing constellation of seemingly unrelated symptoms and signs. In this Medical Grand Rounds, we'll explore cutting-edge clinical advances and scientific insights in the management of large vessel vasculitis. Our speakers, Sharon Chung and Sarah Goglin, two of UCSF's leading experts in these complex disorders, will discuss advanced imaging techniques for diagnosis and disease monitoring, strategies for optimizing glucocorticoid therapy, and evidence-based approaches to mitigating treatment-related complications.
Speakers:
Sharon Chung, MD, is a professor of medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at UCSF Health and the director of the UCSF Vasculitis Clinic. She also serves as the director of Clinical and Translational Medicine at the Immune Tolerance Network and the chair of the American College of Rheumatology Vasculitis Guidelines development committee.
