Department of Medicine Grand Rounds: The 2022 Gurpreet Dhaliwal Lecture in Medicine: There Is an “I” in TEAM: Stories of Investment, Inflections, Introspection, Incompleteness, Inspirations, and Intentionality
This week’s speaker at Medical Grand Rounds is Aimee Zaas, our 2022 Master Clinician Visiting Professor. Aimee is professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health at the Duke University School of Medicine and program director of the Duke Internal Medicine Residency. In her lecture she will discuss career lessons learned, inspiration for future plans, and how to initiate conversations among mentors, mentees, colleagues, and confidants at all levels.
We established this annual Master Clinician Visiting Professorship, through a generous gift from a donor, to recognize the contributions of our many Master Clinicians in the DOM, especially our newest inductees: Nicole Appelle, Cameron Ashbaugh, Soraya Azari and Kerry Cho. Every year the visiting professor gives the Gurpreet Dhaliwal Lecture in Medicine, which is named after our legendary clinician-educator and Master Clinician Gurpreet Dhaliwal.
