Welcome Dr. Ashley Manchanda!
This week we are delighted to welcome Dr. Ashley Manchanda to the UCSF Division of Geriatrics faculty. Dr. Manchanda completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, a Fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and a Geriatrics Clinical Fellowship at UCLA this past July. She is joining our clinician educator faculty and enjoys working in both inpatient and outpatient settings of care. She will be an attending physician at the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) Short-Stay Rehabilitation Unit and the UCSF Inpatient Geriatrics Services at Parnassus. In addition, Dr. Manchanda will focus on the development of Geriatrics education and Geriatrics program building within UCSF Radiation Oncology. This will include providing didactic and practical education about Geriatrics for members of the Radiation Oncology care team, including residents, faculty and nurses as well as developing Geriatrics consultations within Radiation Oncology. We also look forward to her teaching our fellows, residents and students who rotate through our Geriatrics programs. Dr. Manchanda’s professional passion is to provide compassionate, individualized, evidence-based care to older adults and to improve our healthcare systems to better serve them.
