Research by Drs. Vicky Tang and Louise Walter Featured in Journalism Award

Journalist, Liz Szabo, worked with faculty in the UCSF Division of Geriatrics, including Drs. Vicky Tang and Louise Walter, for her series "Treatment Overkill."  This series published online in Kaiser Health News recently won First Place for the National Headliners Award for online beat reporting.  The judges said that in a world where "more is better", smart in-depth reporting shows that in medicine that is not always true. From vitamins to knee replacements, these stories are great journalism helping people be better informed health consumers.
