Bradley Sharpe elected a Master in Hospital Medicine by the Society of Hospital Medicine

Bradley SharpeBradley Sharpe has been elected a Master in Hospital Medicine by the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), one of the organization's highest honors. The distinction recognizes his longstanding contributions to academic hospital medicine and his leadership within SHM and the broader field.

Sharpe served as chief of the UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine from 2017 to 2021, leading the division through the extraordinary challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has authored or co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and has mentored academic hospitalists across the country.

His service to SHM spans more than a decade. He served two terms on the SHM Board of Directors, chaired the Academic Committee and the RIV program, and was an editor for SHM's SPARK Board Review tool. He also co-founded and continues to co-direct the Academic Hospitalist Academy, helping prepare the next generation of leaders in academic hospital medicine.
