Mallory Johnson honored with Distinction in Mentoring Award
Mallory Johnson, PhD, MA, is the recipient of the Academic Senate Distinction in Mentoring Award for faculty. He is a professor of medicine and Nursing and a licensed clinical health psychologist. Johnson has served as a mentor for dozens of faculty and trainees in the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, and the School of Pharmacy and within several T32 and R25 training programs. Johnson serves as the director of The Center for AIDS Prevention (CAPS) and as co-director of the Visiting Professors Program. Johnson also serves as the co-director of the Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) at UCSF and directs the mentoring program within the CFAR Network of Integrated Clinical Systems. He co-launched the first "Mentoring the Mentors" national workshop series with annual workshops at UCSF and has published on the topic of mentoring best practices and mentor training.
