Gato Gourley named manager for DoC-IT
Gato Gourley is the new manager for Division of Clinical Informatics and Digital Transformation, while continuing his role as manager for the Division of Health and Society (DHES) in the Department of Medicine at ZSFG, a role he has held since the division’s formation in 2020.
Gato brings 13 years of experience at UCSF. He began his career at the Center for Vulnerable Populations, now the Action Research Center for Health (ARC), and in Urmimala Sarkar’s research lab, later becoming the manager for both. He went on to support Margot Kushel in establishing the Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative (BHHI).
Gato holds an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
