- Review the research on the impact of documentation on both inpatient and outpatient clinical practice
- Develop a historical understanding of how we document, including the advent of the problem-oriented medical record and early electronic medical records
- Deconstruct the assumptions behind the problem-oriented medical record
- Talk about possible solutions to documentation malaise
