This week, Dementia Care Aware held a video shoot to film the program's dementia screening tool, the cognitive health assessment, in action! This video will demonstrate how a primary care team might approach using the tool with their patients and provides a practical example that reinforces learnings from dementia care aware online training. Tideswell's Crimincal Justice Aging Project Delivered Training at the Central California Women's Facility State Prison
Tideswell’s Criminal Justice Aging Project (with Drs. Brie Williams, Michele DiTomas, David Sears, and Alicia Neumann, PhD and Amanda Li, BS) delivered a 1-day training to clinicians and front line correctional staff at the Central California Women’s Facility state prison. Topics in the training “Preparing for Serious Illness and Population Aging in the Correctional Setting” included Advance Care Planning, Assessing Decision Making Capacity, Prognostication, Diagnosing and Managing Cognitive Impairment and Dementia.
