Professor

Susa Coffey, MD, HS Clinical Professor, is an attending physician at the UCSF Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine at SFGH and Lead of the RAPID ART program at SFGH. She also is Editor-in-Chief, UCSF Center for HIV Information and HIV InSite, and Medical Editor, AIDS Education Training Center National Resource Center.

Academic Focus: Dr. Coffey leads the RAPID ART program at SFGH and supports implementation of RAPID ART programs in the United States. She also is the Editor-in-Chief at the UCSF Center for HIV Information and HIV InSite. She develops HIV-related educational and training materials for domestic and international use, using web-based as well as print formats. She also trains medical residents and medical students in the care persons with HIV infection. Her interests include antiretroviral therapy, immediate ART initiation, primary care of persons with HIV/AIDS, and underserved populations.
