Shreya Patel, MD, MPH

Assistant Professor

Dr. Shreya Patel is a physician executive and Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCSF, specializing in gastroenterology with a strong focus on quality improvement and healthcare access for underserved populations. She holds an MD from the University of Arizona, an MPH from Johns Hopkins, and completed her internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at UCSF. In her prior roles, she has served as Medical Director of Utilization Management at ZSFG and Director of Quality Improvement for Gastroenterology, now currently Associate Chief Medical Officer for Specialty Care and Diagnostics. Dr. Patel has led initiatives in colorectal cancer screening, leveraging technology to improve patient outcomes, and has been recognized for her leadership in both clinical and academic settings.
