Leslie Sheu, MD

HS Asst Clinical Professor

Leslie Sheu, MD is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed medical school and residency at UCSF, and served as a chief resident at Moffitt-Long Hospital prior to joining faculty in 2016.

Dr. Sheu has an active primary care practice, where she also precepts residents and PISCES third year medical students. She has particular interests in chronic disease management, transitions of care across settings, quality improvement, and collaboration and coordination of care with interprofessional and interdisciplinary colleagues.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Sheu has a passion for teaching, mentoring, and conducting research related to medical education. She is the Clinical Immersive Experiences clerkship program director, DGIM Clinician-Educator fellowship director, and a coach in the UCSF Medical School Coaching Program. She was inducted into the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators in 2019.
