Jaya Mallidi, MD

Associate Professor

I am a Clinical Associate Professor, Director of Inpatient Cardiology and Site Director for UCSF Cardiology Fellowship at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital ( ZSFG) / UCSF.

While my prior research and clinical focus was in Interventional Cardiology, since July 2021, I transitioned to practicing non - invasive general cardiology with focus on Cardio - oncology. This involves taking care of patients with cancer undergoing treatment that may have cardiotoxic effects or cancer survivors with concomitant cardiovascular disease or risk factors. I am passionate about improving access to multidisciplinary care, among vulnerable risk populations and started a cardio-oncology clinic at a safety net hospital ( ZSFG ). My current research focuses on studying social determinants of cardiovascular health in breast cancer survivors.
