Alon Unger, MD

Professor

Alon Unger, MD is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics. He went to medical school at UCSF and completed dual residencies in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UCLA. He also completed a Masters in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and he has worked in various settings in global health.

Currently, Alon attends on the inpatient medicine service supervising residents and medical students and teaching clinical medicine and procedures. He has a long-standing interest in global health, and he has been involved in research and service projects working on communicable and non-communicable diseases.
