Allyson Chapman, MD, FACS

ASSISTANT CLINICAL PROFESSOR

Dr. Allyson Cook Chapman is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Palliative Medicine at UCSF. She primarily cares for patients on the Inpatient Palliative Medicine Services and in the ICU. She is board certified in General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Dr. Chapman completed her general surgery training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and her Critical Care and Palliative Medicine training at Stanford University.

She joined the UCSF Division of Palliative Medicine in 2019 and her clinical focus is on inpatient palliative care and surgical critical care. Her research and education interests focus on the intersection of surgery, critical care, and palliative medicine as well as the integration of palliative care principles into the training and practice of surgeons and critical care clinicians.
