GI GR - "Acute Liver Failure"

Bilal Hameed, MBBS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and hepatologist at UCSF who treats patients with liver disease and plays an integral role in the multidisciplinary Liver Transplantation Program.

Dr. Hameed received his medical degree from Dow Medical College, completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota, and consecutive fellowships at the University of Minnesota and UCSF, in the areas of gastroenterology and transplant hepatology respectively. Dr. Hameed is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a general certificate in internal medicine and a subspeciality in gastroenterology.

Dr. Hameed is a member of American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, American Gastroenterological Association. and American Society of Transplantation. He is author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and the recipient of many awards and honors in his field. He is also fluent languages of Punjabi and Urdu.
