The Diabetes Teaching Center has been awarded program recognition by the American Diabetes Association

The DTC has once again been awarded Program Recognition from the American Diabetes Association. Recognition is a process through which programs are evaluated against the national standards and formally identifies the DTC as a program that provides high-quality self-management diabetes education services to the diabetes community. The ADA Recognition process was implemented in 1986 – The DTC’s first application was approved December 16, 1991 – at that time we were one of 214 programs in the country and 20 in California who held this prestigious title. Now there are 109 Recognized programs in California alone.
