Department of Medicine Grand Rounds
-

In our final Grand Rounds of the academic year, we'll explore the current outbreaks of Ebola, hantavirus, measles, and other emerging threats. We’ll review what to expect this summer and how the general public, clinicians, health systems, and policymakers should respond. Join Peter Chin-Hong, Victoria Chu, and Lisa Winston for a wide-ranging Q&A on the viral outbreaks dominating headlines and public concern.

Speakers:

Chin-Hong founded the Immunocompromised Host Infectious Disease Service at UCSF and received the Sagan Prize for Science Popularization in recognition of his work communicating about COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.

Victoria Chu, MD, MPH, is a pediatric infectious diseases physician-scientist and the associate medical director of Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Prevention at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. Chu previously served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
