The 2nd annual Herb Needleman lecture will be held January 13, 2022, from 8-9:00 AM Pacific Time during UCSF Occupational and Environmental Health Grand Rounds.  Our speaker is Rosalind J. Wright, MD, MPH, Horace W. Goldsmith Professor of Pediatrics and Dean for Translational Biomedical Sciences at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Sponsored by the Western States Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU) and the Program on Reproductive Health and the Environment (PRHE), the lecture is presented annually in honor of Dr. Needleman’s groundbreaking work on the hazards of environmental lead on children’s neurodevelopment, and his perseverance despite fierce opposition from industry.
