Department of Medicine Grand Rounds: Omicron in Mid-December: What Have We Learned and What Does it Mean?

Rachel Bystritsky, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at UCSF. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center where she went on to be a chief resident. She completed Infectious Disease Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, where she has remained on faculty. Her clinical activities include seeing outpatients at the UCSF Infectious Disease Clinics and attending on the inpatient infectious diseases consult services at Parnassus, Mission Bay and Mount Zion. She serves as the Medical Director of the UCSF Infectious Disease Clinic and Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy Program.

Carlos del Rio, MD, is Professor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at Emory University School of Medicine and Professor of Global Health and Epidemiology, Rollins School of Public Health.

Paul Sax, MD, is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Clinical Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH).
