Chair's Corner

Dear Colleagues:   Ken McQuaid, who has done an extraordinary job leading the medical service at the San Francisco VA Health Care System for the past 12 years, has informed me of his plans to step down from his leadership role in 2025. His will be huge shoes to fill.

Delphine Tuot, MDCM, MAS, will be the new chief of the Division of Nephrology at ZSFG, effective April 1, 2024.

 

I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing holiday season. I spent most of my time on the wards at Parnassus, something I’ve done for decades and always enjoy.

Dear colleagues:   We are saddened to let you know that Joseph “Joe” LaDou, Emeritus Professor of Medicine at UCSF, died on November 10th after a brief illness. He was 85 years old.
