Faculty Development

In November 2010, the Department of Medicine hosted its first dedicated Quality & Safety Faculty Development Day. The goals of the day were to:

  • Engage, teach, and facilitate the acquisition of new skills in quality improvement and patient safety
  • Provide a shared learning opportunity to foster collaboration, innovation, and a sense of community for those working in quality and safety
  • Create a venue to share project ideas and challenges, and use small-group exercises to promote practical and interactive learning
  • Introduce and launch the Quality & Safety Innovation Challenge
