Dementia Care Aware Brings Expert Training to Shasta County: Dr. Anna Chodos Leads Cognitive Health Assessment Workshop
Last Wednesday, August 14th, Dementia Care Aware hosted an in-person education event in Shasta County, bringing training, resources, and discussions to support dementia care in rural and suburban counties.
Attendees in Shasta County enjoyed insightful presentations, including a training on the Cognitive Health Assessment: The Basics from Anna Chodos, MD, MPH, a review of local and statewide resources by Kindra Adcock Dantanavatanawong from the Alzheimer's Association, and a discussion around Advance Care Planning by Elizabeth Peters, JD, MPH from UC Law's Medical-Legal Partnership.
Sarah Ngo Organize "Wear" Women Shine Crafternoon Session
In celebration of International Women’s Day, WIT@UCSF leadership including Sarah Ngo, MLIS, CCRP, is proud to team up with Makers Lab to bring you their "Wear" Women Shine Crafternoon Session on Thursday, March 5th @2:30-4:30pm at Parnassus Library, Makers Lab (1st floor near cafe).
In this hands-on interactive session, they will give you an introduction to how circuitry works and empower you to create your own customizable LED name badge using button batteries and LED lights. Please join for an opportunity to network with others and light up our UCSF community! Power on!
