Ageism Awareness Day, October 7, 2023
Ageism Awareness Day, on October 7, 2023, is an opportunity to draw attention to the existence and impact of ageism on our society and how we can reframe aging in our communities. Ageism Awareness Day falls within UCSF's Diversity Month.
Ageism affects all of us and compounds inequities related to racism, sexism, and ableism. Multiple intersecting forms of bias increase disadvantage and worsen the effects of ageism on the health and well-being of our communities.
