Rebecca Sudore's work highlighted in Undark Magazine
Rebecca Sudore, MD was mentioned in Undark magazine about the lack of advance care planning among Black Americans. Her work demonstrates that the PREPARE for Your Care program decreases disparities in ACP engagement and in goal concordant care. Karen Bullocks, PhD, LICSW, FGSA, APHSW-C's amazing work to engage the Black community in advance care planning was also highlighted.
UCSF CMC Medical Students To Present Projects at AGS Meeting 2019
Second year medical students of the UCSF School of Medicine Clinical Microsystems Clerkship (CMC); Rachel Muster, Jackson Runte, Jennifer Guidera, Edgardo Alonso and Mara Olson under the guidance of Judith Rosen, PhD and Michi Yukawa, MD will be presenting their system improvement projects performed at the Community Living Center of SFVAMC during the upcoming AGS meeting. Rachel, Jackson and Jennifer will present their poster abstract on “improving pain control by increasing offering of non-pharmacologic interventions in the Community Living Center”. Edgardo and Mara have been selected for oral presentation of their project “reducing inappropriate urinary tract infection workup and treatment at a skilled nursing facility.” Daphne Lo, MD is the CMC site director at the SFVAMC and Anna Chang, MD is the Director of CMC.
