The John F. Murray Distinguished Professorship will support a faculty member who will lead the SFGH Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in teaching, clinical care, research and support of junior faculty, will support the premier public teaching hospital at San Francisco General, and will honor Dr. Murray for his illustrious career and his ongoing contributions to SFGH and to world lung health. A fully-funded professorship will be an outstanding gift to the academic mission of our division in teaching, research and clinical care.
