Mission

The Research Administration Unit strives to be the knowledge base that supports researchers in advancing their careers and accruing stature for the Department and University through the funds that are awarded. It provides guidance using up-to-date methods for submission of proposals, compliance with the policies of UCSF and funding institutions, and interpretation and development of policy.
The Research Administration Unit strives to be the counselor that provides advice and assistance on research matters, proposal strategy, and management of funds. It contributes technical training and skills development and addresses the changing needs of faculty and systems.
The Unit strives for excellent working relationships with faculty, staff, and team members to realize its vision. Proud of its role in the Department and the University, it aspires to be an example of good citizenship, skillful counsel, and technical expertise.
