       B.J. Miller, MD

Bruce L. Miller, Jr., M.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor within the Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine. He received his M.D. at University of California, San Francisco, and did his Internal Medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Miller completed his residency and Chief residency in Internal Medicine at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. Prior to starting at UCSF, he spent a year completing the Clinical and Research Fellowship of the Palliative Care Service at Michigan General Hospital and within the Department of Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham & Women’s Hospital. His service included outpatient palliative care experience, chiefly with cancer patients.

He participated in many related service activities. He was a founding member of the Disability Interest Group and the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Disability Issues of UCSF. Dr. Miller was able to raise a great amount of money to start endowment at UCSF to assist with extraordinary medical costs for students, and he was a member of Toland Society Board of Advisors at UCSF.

Dr. Miller will be attending on the Moffitt-Long Medical Service, Mount Zion Medical Service, Moffitt-Long Palliative Care Service, and Mount Zion Palliative Care Service. He will be serving inpatient services and teaching nurses, students, and resident physicians.
