The Division of Geriatrics
The Division of Geriatrics seeks to improve the care of older persons through teaching, discovery and patient care. Founded in 1997, the Division includes over 20 faculty members and staff.

March 13, 2008 - Brie Williams is a recipient of the Brookdale Leadership in Aging Fellowship Award from the Brookdale Foundation. The Award is given to a highly select group of junior investigators who show exceptional promise as emerging leaders in the field of aging and provides 2 years of salary support. January 29, 2008 - Anna Chang receives the 2008 Betty and James E. Birren Emerging Leadership Award by the California Council for Geriatrics and Gerontology (CCGG) for her extraordinary work, both in the NHCU (and throughout SFVAMC) and in the School of Medicine.
