GIG - Geriatric Interest Group

Educational Activities and Programs:

Reynolds Foundation - Trains medical students, residents and practicing physicians in geriatrics focusing primarily on transitions in care and care of hospitalized elders. For more information, click here.

Northern California Geriatric Education Center (NorCal GEC) - is a federally-funded consortium of educational institutions and organizations whose mission is the education of health professionals in geriatrics. More information can be found at: www.norcalgec.org

The UCSF Academic Geriatric Resource Center (AGRC) - the mission of the AGRC is to address the unique health care needs of the rapidly growing population of older adults in California by providing geriatric education to health care providers and by advancing public education and research in geriatrics. Geriatric Student Interest Group (GIG) - An interdisciplinary student interest group established in 2005 to foster interest and enthusiasm in the care of older adults and the field of geriatric medicine. Events are held monthly. Click here for more information on GIG.

UCSF Mount Zion Center on Aging - The UCSF Mount Zion Center on Aging fosters multidisciplinary efforts in service delivery, education, and research in aging. The Center is a collaborative effort between UCSF and the Institute on Aging and brings together constituencies across the University and the Bay Area community.
