The salary is set by the California Board of Regents. As living in San Francisco can be expensive, the 3 hospitals supplement the salary with a monthly housing stipend of $661.66/month. Total compensation is:

• PGY1: $49,291 (salary) + $7,940 (housing stipend) = $57,231
• PGY2: $51,062 (salary) + $7,940 (housing stipend) = $59,002
• PGY3: $53,071 (salary) + $7,940 (housing stipend) = $61,011
