Instructions for: Mac OS X | Windows

Mac OS X

1. Double-click on your hard drive's icon on the desktop.
   
2. Click on the Users folder, then select Get Info from the File menu.
   
3. It may take a second to calculate how much data is in your Users folder.
   
4. Please write down the size and email it to helpdesk@medicine.ucsf.edu, or let us know when you drop off your laptop for encryption.

1. Double-click on the My Computer icon on the desktop.
   
2. Double-click on the Local Disk (C:) icon.
   
3. Right-click on the Documents and Settings icon and select Properties.
   
4. Please write down the size and email it to helpdesk@medicine.ucsf.edu, or let us know when you drop off your laptop for encryption.
